This is one of the most common troubleshooting issues with the Ninja Creami.
The most common reason that the outer bowl gets stuck on the base of the machine is because it was turned to the left, instead of to the right, when it was inserted into the machine. Once you have turned it to the left, it's nearly impossible to get it off of the machine.

The other bowl can also get stuck in the machine during or after processing ice cream. Usually, the spindle is still extended into the bowl.​​​

How to resolve the issue...
Unplug the machine for 10-15 minutes and see if the machine resets on it's own. Sometimes the spindle will retract inside of the machine allowing you to release the outer bowl. ​​

If the outer bowl was turned to the left instead of to the right, it's unlikely that you will get it to come off.
