Dairy substitutes to use in the Ninja Creami...
The information provided below is for informational purposes only and is not a recommendation to change your regular diet. Please consult with your physician before changing your diet.
When you make a Ninja Creami creation, you need some sort of liquid in the base recipe. Many recipes use some sort of dairy. You can use any type of dairy or dairy substitute that you would like. However, it's important to keep in mind that the lower the fat content in the recipe, the more likely it is that the end result is going to be less creamy and icy.

That does not mean that you need to use high fat dairy or dairy substitutes. It just means that you might need to add something else to the recipe to make it creamier, like pudding powder or guar gum.

Example: If a recipe calls for whole milk, you don't have to use whole milk. You can use 2% milk, rice milk, or even goat's milk. You can substitute any dairy or non-dairy with any other dairy or non-dairy. The taste and texture will change based on the substitutions you make. But, just because a recipe says to use a specific type of dairy/non-dairy, doesn't mean you can't sub it out for something that better fits your diet. (unless the recipe SPECIFICALLY says not to use substitutions.)
