Generic containers and accessories...are they recommended?
Can I use knock off Ninja Creami pints?

This question gets asked a ton.

The answer is yes. Technically, you can use generic containers with the Ninja Creami. They CAN work. But...they can also cause the containers to get scratched or the machine to malfunction.

There is no way of knowing if the knock offs are EXACTLY the same material and measurements as the ones made by Ninja. I accidentally got some generic containers and measured them. The weight, thickness of the plastic, and the divots in the bottom were not exactly the same. I chose not to use them. Some generic containers don't even have the divots in the bottom of the container, which could be a big issue (the divots help to keep the container in the outer bowl when it's processing).

If the material or the measurements or the size of the divots in the bottom of the cup are not exactly the same, there is a higher likelihood that the machine will not function properly. You could end up damaging the containers and/or the machine.

Using non Ninja approved accessories can void the warranty.

So, yes you can use knock offs. But, at your own risk.

I do NOT recommend using knock offs. The machine is too expensive and there are so many things that can go wrong if the wrong containers are used. Ninja makes and sells specific containers to go with the machine for a reason. I'd rather be safe than sorry just to save a few bucks.

On Amazon if the seller is Ninja, it is the official Ninja containers and not the knock offs. These are ok to use in the machine. Real Ninja containers will say "Ninja" on the lid and the brand should be "Ninja," not some random Amazon seller or brand.

You can buy Ninja branded containers outside of buying from Ninja directly. Official Ninja containers are sold at Target, Kohls, Best Buy, Amazon (Ninja is the actual brand), JcPenney, Bed Bath and Beyond, QVC, HSN, Blains Farm and Fleet, Meijer, and Canadian Tire.
